The Public Works Department works in the public
interest maintaining and improving the health,
safety, convenience and quality of life for the
City's citizens and visitors.
The four divisions in the department are Administration,
Engineering, Traffic and Maintenance. The Engineering
Division oversees the design, inspection and planning
of the City's infrastructure including pavement,
storm drains and sewers. The traffic division
designs and plans the traffic infrastructure including
traffic signals, street lighting, signing and
pavement markings. The maintenance division maintains
the City's infrastructure. The Administration
Division oversees the department activities and
processes the payments to contractors and suppliers
and provides the secretarial services for the
department.
